Allegations of sexual harassment in higher education

The subject of sexual harassment in higher education establishments is of particular concern not least because of the impacts on the women and men who are the victims of it but also because these establishments help shape society and what society tolerates. It is wrong on so many levels if higher education establishments tolerate, conceal or otherwise mismanage  sexual harassment.

Sexual harassment is nearly always interpreted in ways such that females are considered the victims, however it is fact the men are also victims and may find it even harder to deal with or achieve appropriate recognition for what they suffer. This site is aware of one such complaint where allegations have been made against a university. Please note that whilst it is fact that allegations have been made this does not mean that the allegations are proven.
